Week 5 Edmonton Eskimos 27 @ Montreal Alouettes 32

Dan Hawkins can finally exhale after the Als pulled out a close win.

SJ Green (19) and the rest of the Als offense really got in a groove in this game.

Chip Cox (11) came up with a huge tackle behind the line of scrimmage with the clock expiring to seal the win.

This was one very controversial and had some suspect officiating why the refs didn't have a replay review of White (30) run with 19 seconds left which looked like a touchdown. Following that play the Eskimos stil had time to run two play but they let the clock run down and did not seal the edge and let defensive speedster Chip Cox get behind the line and get a tackle for a loss to win it. Earlier in the game the Esks benched QB Mike Reilly and you could seem visibly upset but to his credit he showed mental toughness and really bounced back with a great 4th quarter. The Als get a much needed win and head into the bye before a HUGE game against the Argos at home for first place in the east division.
